This clip has been making the rounds on the Internet, so odds are you’ve seen it. If you haven’t, you should watch it, preferably in HD at Vimeo. At the very least, click the title of this post to see it full size. :)

The premise is simple: Matthew Harding took a trip to 42 countries to film short clips of him doing a silly dance, sometimes alone, sometimes with lots of local folks, often in beautiful locations. The result is this 4:28 video.

I’m proud to share the fact that this guy is from Connecticut. They don’t call us nutmeggers for nothing.

NARAL Pro Choice America endorses Obama and then … Chaos! Read the comment thread. Holy crap are the Clinton people pissed. Perspective folks. Via Cogitamus, which gives the issue a more serious comment than my flip one.

PS. I haven’t forgotten they also endorsed Lieberman, so I’m not really taking sides here. I just think the comment thread is pretty typical of when both sides get into it. This is ugly, and it’s unnecessary. Hillary Clinton has lost this race. It is over, and she should step aside because this is what she’s creating.

This is going to happen on the Internet if Net Neutrality isn’t the norm. Pressure will be brought on companies to block things.

quick update: I should mention that Verizon backed down saying this is a mistake. Good for them. The larger point still stands, though: 1) they feel they can filter content, 2) they look to have the legal rights to do so, and 3) this is why common carrier status matters in this debate. They should provide the pipe and be freed of the responsibility over the content both from a control standpoint and a liability standpoint.
