Hilzoy, as is her style, is much more fair and on point about Ferraro than I would be. My reaction is, Ferraro is a racist and an apologist for bigotry in it’s most common form. When you explicitly ignore a person’s positions, writing, family history, class, and upbringing (basically everything BUT race) and then state that for some reason, you just can’t vote for them, you’re saying their race bothers you. And that’s racism.
Geraldine Ferraro is an embarrassment to the country.
