This is basically an interview with John Gaeta about the approach taken in the upcoming remake of Speed Racer. The movie looks great, and I’m such a fan of the Wachowski brothers that this is on my must see list. The Matrix and V for Vendetta are among my favorite movies in large part because of the visual and stylistic weight of their films.

Or at least, that’s what I have to believe after what I learned during the last Democratic debate. The screen shot above is from McCain’s appearance on This Week, hosted by George Stephanopoulos. Oddly enough, McCain wasn’t asked once about his lack of flag pin, though George did remember to ask him whether he thought Obama was as patriotic as McCain.

Sometimes, it’s hard to resist the idea that there’s some colossal conspiracy against the Democratic party. Stephanopoulos’s behavior is hard to explain without either assuming he’s stupid (he’s not) or that he’s got a rooting interest in this somehow.

I think the title is a bit wrong… McCain’s not the hypocrite here, at least not the biggest one. George Stephanopoulos is. After spending 2 hours on a nationally televised debate before arguably the most important primary this year ripping Obama and Clinton for bullshit items, he gets McCain on and basically gives him a fluff job on camera. Stephanopoulos should be ashamed.

Anyway, CTBlog has video from the This Week appearance as well as some more questions that could’ve been raised to John McCain in a similar vein to those asked during the debate. Yes, BS questions, but hey, Democratic activists will be using them in the fall, right? So, let’s talk about them now! or whatever faulty logic Stephanopoulos used the first time around…
