The 30 second version flows better as a commercial, but there’s too much visually cool about the longer one to skip it. The music is Regina Spektor, Musicbox according to multiple sources online.
This clip has been making the rounds on the Internet, so odds are you’ve seen it. If you haven’t, you should watch it, preferably in HD at Vimeo. At the very least, click the title of this post to see it full size.
The premise is simple: Matthew Harding took a trip to 42 countries to film short clips of him doing a silly dance, sometimes alone, sometimes with lots of local folks, often in beautiful locations. The result is this 4:28 video.

Update: The song is (called Praan) is available at Amazon’s MP3 store. The web site for the project is, appropriately, wherethehellismatt.com, where there are more videos and maps.
This is the best commercial I’ve seen in a long, long, long time. Nike has done a brilliant job, and it looks stunning in HD. This one actually got me to stop and stare at the TV, and I know at least one person who hit rewind on the Tivo to see it again. Get the Clio ready, this one ought to win something. The music is Promontory from the Last of the Mohicans. Great soundtrack for a sick commercial.
Watch this. Good to see Parker Posey in something else. I really think she’s a pretty good actress. Don’t know why we don’t see her in more big budget stuff. She’s a funny woman. (via this site)
