This clip has been making the rounds on the Internet, so odds are you’ve seen it. If you haven’t, you should watch it, preferably in HD at Vimeo. At the very least, click the title of this post to see it full size. :)

The premise is simple: Matthew Harding took a trip to 42 countries to film short clips of him doing a silly dance, sometimes alone, sometimes with lots of local folks, often in beautiful locations. The result is this 4:28 video.

I’m proud to share the fact that this guy is from Connecticut. They don’t call us nutmeggers for nothing.

Update: The song is (called Praan) is available at Amazon’s MP3 store. The web site for the project is, appropriately, wherethehellismatt.com, where there are more videos and maps.

I’m watching Casino Royale right now (I usually watch movies I’ve seen a billion times before while I work). I just happened to look up as the camera panned across the security area in the Miami Airport scene, and noticed a guy that looked an awful lot like Richard Branson getting frisked by security. A quick Google later and here we are. That was him!

I have no idea how many times I’ve watched this movie, but I never noticed that until today.

I’ve been bitten by this with Casino Royale on my iMac at home, of all things. I HATE DRM with a passion, as it doesn’t stop the truly determined pirates and gets in the way of all of the legitimate things I do want to do. I don’t understand, for example, why the movie studios should be able to stop me from taking a movie I’ve paid for and converting it to run on my PSP. I’m not selling this and I sure as hell am not paying for a PSP copy. So why penalize me?

Casino Royale

The next Bond flick, Casino Royale, comes out November 17th. It looks like this movie will be close to the book which happens to be the the first Bond book Ian Fleming ever wrote. We’ll see how close to the books this movie is. Already from the trailer, I see that they’ve changed the casino game from Baccarat to Texas Hold ‘Em, but I guess you roll with the times (and the marketing tie ins?).
