Found this via Brea Grant’s blog. It’s a good song, and the rest of the album is pretty good. You can get the album, Re-arrange Us, on Amazon.com’s MP3 store. No DRM, just plain, high quality MP3 files.

(PS. Don’t forget to watch Brea Grant on Heroes in a few weeks, and check out other books and music she likes over at Coolspotters. And, no, I’ve got no connection to her, business or otherwise. Just a fan since I saw her on Friday Night Lights.)

Kareem’s girlfriend (dude, are you two ever going to get married?) recently started her very own food blog called, appropriately, Geneve’s Kitchen. If the photos don’t make you hungry, the recipes and ideas will.

I love the use of photos on her site, by the way. There’s a professional quality to them, and it just makes the whole look of the blog a lot better. Good luck, Geneve and great work so far.

And, a random note… I found Kareem’s post about her blog on Technorati, of all things, as I clicked through the “food” tag on the restaurant review below. Kind of random, and a demonstration of why I always try to tag my posts. Never know what you’ll find.

PS. Those of you who just read and don’t write at a blog, set one up! It’s such a good way to keep in touch and share things you’re passionate about. If you do it for yourself, and not for the audience, it’ll be worth it. If you’re always writing around a particular topic and a decent writer, you might even be able to build a significant audience.

Kottke has an interesting post about the state of blog search which, in his words, “sucks.” I’d generally have to agree. I’m working on some notification/ping issues with FatMixx, which I’ll have more about later.

First it was Chhavi, then Heidi, and now Josh has set up his own blog out there. It’s pretty cool seeing people enjoy blogging enough to go start their own up. It will be a bummer to have Josh writing less around here, but having him write more is a win.

If you want to make keeping track of all of the blogs easier, I think you’ll enjoy using an RSS aggregator.

For those fans of Trader Joes who can’t get enough about the grocer and their products, I’ve found the blog for you: Tracking Trader Joes. The blog covers the good and the bad, from product reviews to recalls of products. The site says it’s an independent blog unaffiliated with TJs and they’ve got good information. It’s the first place I found online that has the opening date of the new West Hartford location (Nov. 5th for those of you keeping track), and it seems to be run by a fellow Connecticution.

I’m looking forward to the new TJs opening up. I miss the selection there which was sooo much better than the local Wild Oats we have here. Oh, and in an interesting development, a Whole Foods store is opening up within walking distance (a long walk) from our house. I’m looking forward to next summer, maybe walking over there on the weekends to grab groceries. Of course, it’s in suburban CT, which means they have parking and easy access to the roads (assuming some of the Blue Back Sq. construction finishes up soon.)

Via John Battelle, I learned that Yahoo launched blog search tonight. About time. Not sure if I posted this here, but Google launched their blog search a while back (I may have just added it to the micro blog/links to the right).
