I agree with most of this analysis, especially the talking points he suggests for both campaigns. My primary concern at this point, rather than who wins is how they win. I have always said that the ends never justify the means, because the how comes back to bite you in the butt later. Clinton is winning by being more negative and more Karl Rovian. She doesn’t have to drop out, she just needs to stop that. Second, I hope Obama doesn’t follow her down this road. The last thing we need (we being people that want a Democratic President) is for the Democrats to fight internally and swear off the other candidate because of negative campaigning or because of negative feelings between supporters.
In other words, it was nice that for a long while we had people voting for particular candidates. Let’s not go back to voting against candidates.
