So, yesterday, I break the switch on the mic from my XBox 360 so I can’t talk. Today, a nice, 1-pixel wide, vertical blue line shows up on my 1+ year old Samsung LCD TV. Everything online says it’s a hardware issue, so I’m looking at warranty service and no TV for some time. Joy.
And the DirecTV guys are supposed to come on Friday. Wonder if there will be a TV here when they show up?
Anyway, I have no point… just whining. Carry on.

Hopefully, you have a TV by Friday… The Direct TV person will need your TV screen(s) to set up each of your Direct TV boxes…. He/she has to program the satellite to your box and make sure the satellite signals are where they need to be or he/she will have to go back on the roof to re-align it…. unless you have the contract (which I don’t) $75 every time they have to return.
Side Note: If you are not afraid of heights or if you have a friend who isn’t, After the Direct TV person leaves, go up on the roof and mark on you roof the Direction of you Satellite… which permanent ink. If for any reason, you move your satellite, I had my chimney repointed…. you will know exactly where to put it back and save yourself the hassle of calling for a technician.

We’ll have both TVs. Turns out that they can’t come to repair it until the 14th… so, TV with blue vertical line for the next 2 weeks. Yay!
We’re actually finally setting up our house, so the TV and stuff is going to move around anyway… I’m planning on having everything at least in the right rooms.
