I might be the only one, but I am having a visceral reaction to Sylar coming back… super villains who are both too powerful and too weak considering their supposed powers are quite annoying. Sylar is both, and his return is annoying. I’m not quite caught up, but just saw the part where he takes his first victim after regaining consciousness, so maybe it gets better.

Newsweek’s Daniel Gross explains the Consumer Price Index (here’s the official BLS site) in a very simple video. I could do without the goofy sound effects, but it’s a good, 2 minute explanation of how the government tracks inflation.
Per David Simon’s Berkeley talk, though, the video doesn’t go into why this matters. Perhaps they’ll cover that in the next installment of the Economics 101 series.

That’s exactly what happened in the X-Men comics with Magneto every six months–they would defeat him and he would return in a severely weakened and somehow newly empowered state. Heroes always stays close to its source material…
