Steve Clemons points out an interesting proposal coming out of Barack Obama’s campaign suggesting a way to help the car manufacturers and the environment at the same time. Today, a buddy and I debated for 20 minutes at lunch about how to reduce the cost of drugs and healthcare. These ideas, the actual plans to solve problems should be the subject of all of the coverage around the election.

I don’t know if these ideas are great or not and it would be a great service if there were a major news program that would really help lay folks like me analyze the proposals. There really isn’t a news source that does that on TV, and that’s a disservice.
