I also don’t know why he’s not getting much support, but Sen. Chris Dodd would make a great President. I personally would love to see a Al Gore/Chris Dodd ticket, as I’ve always appreciated the job that Dodd does and Gore brings the right level of experience to the job. He’s a quiet guy, which is why I think he doesn’t get the huge support. I don’t think too many folks know who he is or what he stands for.
Unlike our embarrassment of a Senator, Dodd is actually quite good. If I had to choose my picks for the Dem, I’m leaning Gore, Obama, Dodd in order (and the last two are essentially tied for me). No Clinton on the list, and I’ll explain why a bit later.
Update: Maybe he is getting support after all, just not from the grassroots.

It is strange that Dodd, who once chaired the DNC, is not getting much attention from the netroots, or the media. But then, that may work out to his favor. In 2004, the front runner on the Democratic side was Dean, both in terms of money and media. Iowa went to Kerry despite that.
