I think Manning had a great game, but the MVP should’ve gone to Dominic Rhodes.

Newsweek’s Daniel Gross explains the Consumer Price Index (here’s the official BLS site) in a very simple video. I could do without the goofy sound effects, but it’s a good, 2 minute explanation of how the government tracks inflation.
Per David Simon’s Berkeley talk, though, the video doesn’t go into why this matters. Perhaps they’ll cover that in the next installment of the Economics 101 series.

Using the same criteria as Time Magazine’s Man of the Year award, the MVP was clearly Rex Grossman. No other player had more impact on that game.

Well, yes. But we knew that was going to happen. Everyone (including me) who expected the Colts to win expected Grossman to be the LVP.
In the spirit of the award, though, Rhodes had the biggest plays that didn’t involve a blown defensive assignment, including some key runs.

Forced to vote, I might have chosen a DB from the Colts, probably the one who picked Grossman and returned it for a TD.
The amazing part of the Colts’ performance is that there was no one truly most valuable player.
