Just wanted to pass on that Heidi has exposed me to some really cool punk/hardcore covers of 80s/90s pop music. The current favorite in the CD changer and iPod is 7 Seconds’ cover of 99 Red Balloons (iTunes Link). 500 Miles by Down By Law is pretty good. Turning Japanese by Studio 99. I’ll update this later with more, but those are pretty good.

Found this via Brea Grant’s blog. It’s a good song, and the rest of the album is pretty good. You can get the album, Re-arrange Us, on Amazon.com’s MP3 store. No DRM, just plain, high quality MP3 files.
(PS. Don’t forget to watch Brea Grant on Heroes in a few weeks, and check out other books and music she likes over at Coolspotters. And, no, I’ve got no connection to her, business or otherwise. Just a fan since I saw her on Friday Night Lights.)

7 Seconds was Heidi’s first hardcore show. She just wants everyone in cyberspace to know this. She saw them when she was in 10th grade at the River Rock Cafe in Buffalo, NY with her pal CP (which stood for Cow Punk).

I would just like people to know that josh recently re-exposed me to Ayesha, by Another Bad Creation… Strangely enough I still find it catchy and the dance moves hip!
watch it for yourself!
