Holy crap.
Tonight’s Lost was absolutely nuts. Spoilers after the jump.
Can you believe that they just had Michael shoot them? Even if this is about Walt, holy crap. Holy crap. Is Libby dead, too? Or did the pillow “save” her? Holy crap.
Heidi and I literally just turned and stared at each other not knowing what to say…

Steph called the whole brainwash thing. And you know, by shooting himself, Henry is a dead man.
And by telling them all the wrong information…..a trap has been set, how many will the others kill, when and if, given the opportunity?
But it was about time they had a “Holy Crap” episode….

I don’t think he’s brainwashed in the traditional sense. I think he’s been convinced that getting this guy back is the only way to get Walt back and I think the whole boat thing has pushed him over the edge.
Couple of things that don’t make sense: they have a boat, which implies fuel. It’s hard to believe that they’re only in tents, so I’m thinking that Michael is trying to get them to go into a trap.
I don’t think Libby is dead, because I think the pillow may have saved her. I’m also unclear about how Locke is planning on going after the Others with the crutches.

I don’t think he is brain-washed either… wrong word. Michael apologized to Anna before he shot Anna… and he was in shock (reflex action) when he shot Libby. I agree, Libby is probably still alive but in deep &%$* depending on where she got shot… In the preview, the voice over can be heard saying “She’s dead”…. not, “they’re dead.”
(1) The others want Henry Dead… Remember he said his leader “Wasn’t the forgiving type.” As soon as they see Michael, Libby, and Anna….they’ll shoot henry.
(2) If Libby isn’t dead, Michael’s screwed. And if you remember the preview, they showed Michael in a way that made him look like he was in captivity.
(3) It is possible to have fuel and only tents BUT, I think you are right. I think it was part of Michael’s mission to set a trap for Jack, etc.
Something to ponder…. Henry said his mission was to bring back Locke because Locke was “one of the good ones.” By the back stories, Michael could be considered “one of the good ones.”
Did they use the computer communication of Walt to Michael in the hatch to lure Michael to the others? And now they are trying to dispose of “the evil ones” and indoctrinate “the good ones” into the others.
And finally, watching the back story and the interactions with Henry, it looks like Anna came to peace and actually some redemption for herself by not being able to kill Henry.
Any way you slice and dice it…. this is a great LOST episode to jump start the final weeks to the finale…. I hope the cliff hanger in a few weeks is even a crazier ending then this… in order to keep us creatively thinking about the 3rd season!
