Yeah, so I am nuts and got the second season of Lost (iTMS link) from iTunes. This is good stuff. Added it to Tivo, too. (and yes, this means that in the last 48 hours or so, I’ve watched about 18 hours of Lost. Really. (Well, listened to is more like it since I’ve been doing wedding planning and work at the same time…, but still)

Newsweek’s Daniel Gross explains the Consumer Price Index (here’s the official BLS site) in a very simple video. I could do without the goofy sound effects, but it’s a good, 2 minute explanation of how the government tracks inflation.
Per David Simon’s Berkeley talk, though, the video doesn’t go into why this matters. Perhaps they’ll cover that in the next installment of the Economics 101 series.

I *HEART* Lost. Its one of the best shows on TV today, and certainly second only to 24 as one of the most addictive. I loved the first season, but didn’t think they could keep it up. I was wrong. Its been better. Enjoy it!

What is worse is being so addicted to this silly show that you find yourself walking down the street to work still watching. One day I will be hit by a car… but at least I will finally find out what happens if they don’t hit execute!!!! Blast you addictive tv!
