Nice defense in the 4th quarter, defensive genius.
By the way, Donovan McNabb, I hope you were watching. See how good you could be? Like this Vince Young guy, you can run. Unlike this Vince Young guy, you can literally own a defense with your arm. If you somehow did both in a game, you might be pretty much unstoppable. Really. Think about it. Thanks.
One last thing… A lot of people at work think my Patriot hating is because they beat the Eagles last year in the Super Bowl. Not true. The loss to the Pats sharpened the Pats hating for sure, but I was getting tired of the Pats before that. Mostly because I hate dynasties with a passion. H-A-T-E them with a passion. It’s part of why I hate the Yankees. It’s why I always rooted against the Niners in the Montana/Rice and Young/Rice days, for example. I actually liked those players, but just got tired of the predictability of the seasons…
So, obviously, I was rooting for Texas all the way tonight. And, boy, was it fun to see Texas prevail over the favorite. Cocky punks showing their three-peat signs on the sideline after Dwayne Jarrett scored the last TD. Hope they enjoyed their 10 minutes leading the game at the end there.

After the Conspiracy game (ND-USC) where football for one day became a 60 minute 7 second sport, I became an ANTI-USC person…
I cannot stand when refs blow it big time… but I digress!
I was on the edge of my seat watching Vince Young last night. This kid is eletric, confident, and extremely talented… He is what Michael Vick could be if Michael Vick could actually throw the ball with any accuracy!
So… despite all of the evidence to the contrary, Vince Young should come out in the 2006 NFL draft. I even found the perfect team for him and it would be one more way to stick it to Matt Leinert….
If Vince Young comes out in the 2006 draft, Tennessee should sit at #3 and grab the most explosive player in the draft, Vince Youg. Why do I think this?
The Texans (with probably Dan Reeves leading the charge) will make yet another mistake and take Reggie Bush at #1 when everyone outside of the Texans front office knows that the problem with the Texans is their Offensive Line.
The Saints will (at #2) go with the hype and take Matt Leinert. Matt leinert will be a good NFL quarterback but Leinert to the Saints will be like Archie Manning on the Saints… One guy with no supporting cast…
So at #3, The Titans should take Vince Young, give him an UBER CONTRACT and then, much like the Bengals, sit Young on the bench for 2006. Let him carry the clipboard for Steve McNair all season and learn. And in 2007 you will have the “New and Improved” version of Vick/McNair leading the Titans team….
Just my very long winded thought… and I am so happy today that USC is no more!!!
