I love maps. You may remember the democrats-sleep-with-lights-on maps around election time. And I loved the reds/blues/purples that came out with county data. This new mapping site is great!

Today’s Wall Street Journal covered Common Census, a mapping project that has people associate their neighborhood with a larger sense of community. Very cool, very interesting.

Some items of note: Boston completely dominates Providence. Pittsburgh’s influence leads all the way to the capital steps. Not enough data points yet, but that’s where you come in. Oh, and it connects to a sports census as well.
