When Marty Schottenheimer shook Andy Reid’s hand after the Chargers disintegrated against the Eagles, did Marty catch Andy Reid’s inability to manage the clock?
Chargers by 5. Under two minutes, Jets ball, first and goal. Jets are out of timeouts. Chargers have one timeout remaining. If the Chargers stop the Jets, they can kneel to win. If the Jets score, the Chargers get the ball with a chance to win on a field goal.
First down, Jets run. Tick. Tick. Tick. Call the timeout! CALL THE FREAKING TIMEOUT!!!
Schottenheimer is like the kid playing chess right after he learns how the pieces move. No foresight or strategy. I hope the Eagles get to play them a lot in the future.
Sorry the Jets didn’t score, Josh. The Chargers would have had under a minute to move the ball.

I take it you saw the McNabb improvisation at the end of the first half?

That’s the McNabb of old: the St Louis and Tampa Bay NFC Championship games ended the exact same way. I love how he’s regressing. Did he throw his first three tosses into receivers’ feet, too?

I love rooting for McNabb, but I don’t know if he ever has progressed beyond the McNabb of old… he just hasn’t been put into the comeback position much until this year…
