1.) 106 degrees in the shade is truly hot. And don’t anyone try to give me that “well, its a dry heat” BS. Its hot. (not as unpleasant as a humid heat, sure. That I’ll give you, but still hot)

2.) Mexican food made by people who know what they’re doing is very good (unlike me)

3.) A Mariachi band (or whatever they were) is rather embarrassing when you’re sitting at a table alone.

4.) Freakonomics is a good book. I haven’t finished yet, but I’m about one hour by the pool from being done.

5.) Speaking of the pool, don’t spend more than 1 hour by the pool if you’re from the north east and don’t have a good base. (speaking of which, can you pass the aloe?)

6.) 3 hours time difference isn’t that much, unless its before 6am or after 8pm (on either side)
