To the Brandeis allum reading this site:
So my friend here (Jeff Stein is his name) used to go to brandeis, and he claims during his time there, the students were un-knowing sugar substitute test subjects. The chefs would switch sugar for Splenda, then ask people a few months later “so, how is that dessert working for you?”
Is this true??? Did you guys grow extra heads during your test subject days at brandies?

I can’t tell you if it is true or not.
However, based on the cost difference between sugar and Splenda, I don’t think they would want to do that without actually promoting the dessert as sugar free.

But if Brandies signed a deal with the makers of splenda to do research before releasing to market, I would be Brandies would be paid for the effort rather then have to pay more…
I think the idea is amusing though
“soooooo, how is that sugar tasting? Weird?”

Well, since the only food I ate from the cafeteria for my 4 years there were quesadillas and falafael, I think I may be OK.
