In Australia Karl Rove would be facing a mandatory 5 year jail term if he divulged the name of a member of the security services?
What is the penalty in the United States for exposing a member of the security services in the time of a declared war on terrorism? Similar I believe.
Answer this quick quiz. What will happen tio Karl Rove over this affair?
a. Nothing at all. If if you’re that close to President Bush you have impunity from the law. It will be ignored (after a congressional enquiry the finds he didn’t mean to be indiscreet) - everything as normal Herr Goebels …sorry I mean Mr Rove will be back at action stations in no time at all.
b. The full weight of the law will fall on his shoulders. Disgrace, loss of job, shunned by all and a Jail term.
Apology by President to the nation.
c. A cover up by the GOP the CIA and Time magazine and a slap on the wrists and lots of hand ringing by the mainstream media.
d. The Oliver North Option. Anyone speaking against patriot Karl Rove must be a communist and needs to be undermined and destroyed as they are in fact speaking up against the leader of the free world engaged in a valiant struggle against evil itself. Karl Rove to be given the Medal of Freedom and elected a Senator at the next election.
I’d put money on d). We will see. What’s your take?
