I’m really just reporting what he said. I don’t see how quoting the words of a person is bashing them.
Also, I’m not being facetious when I ask if I am reading his quote wrong (which I really hope I am). If I am not and Bush is actually telling the rest of the world that the US intends to proliferate the amount of greenhouse gases, then I think that is something everyone in this country should worry about (chosen parties aside). If it is just a case where the leader of the free-world misspoke and said the exact opposite of what he really meant when dealing with a issue that concerns 180 countries of the world, that is also cause for a little worry.
Wanting to know where he (and thus the US) truly stands on an issue that could affect the health and lives of everyone in this nation is not senseless by any means.
