The little details in baseball make it fun to watch. It’s the bottom of the 8th right now and the Padres just gave up a run on a passed ball. Within 3 or 4 steps of the catcher chasing after the ball, the runner from third was across the plate. Why is it that the guy coming in from third always seems to get there really, really fast while it seems like it takes absolutely freaking forever for a guy to get down the first base line. 90 feet both ways… (ok, yeah, the fact that one guy has to unwind from his swing is why, but still, it just feels so different)

Also, man, is Danica Patrick the only reason a lot of people are going to watch the Indy 500? Does it really matter? More importantly, can she win?
