Sorry it’s been pretty quiet around here the past few days. I usually try to get something up here if no one else has written, but the past few weeks have been extra busy for me and it seems Josh is the only one carrying the torch aside from me.

I’m spending a lot of my spare time working on another project that I’ll be opening up for you all to use (if you want to). It’s been one of my pet peeves that Heidi and I usually go get groceries alone without knowing what the other one wants. Having a paper list kinda bites because I usually forget it and then forget stuff, including stuff I want myself. So, I’m putting together a little list keeping program. In part, it’s just an exercise to keep my non-Java coding skills sharp. I also want to play around with some UI things that I have been toying around with at work. Anyway, it will be up in the next week or so. I’ll be adding features as we go along.

Since I started the project, Kareem pointed out Backpack which led me to Ta-da Lists. Ta-da is a pretty nice (free) service. My application is similar to Ta-da with some different features. I was kind of bummed to see that there was already a product because it makes it sillier for me to keep working on this. Since I’m mostly doing it as an exercise, though, I’ve decided to finish it. Hence the light blogging for a few more days.
