Finally, after way too freaking long, Buraka Som Sistema has released their latest album, Black Diamond. The song above, Sound of Kuduro is by far the best on the album, but there are some other nice gems on here. MIA is featured on several tracks, and the rhythm is just addicting. I cannot sit still when this is on.

Saw this on Slashdot and thought it was interesting. It’s about a bill to raise the FCC fines and how these fines would compare to fines by other agencies. Interesting perspective.

Isn’t it nice to know that saying “Fuck” or showing a tit is worthy of that kind of fine and yet we can show all kind of blood, guts, and violence without much fear.

You know, I read that and thought at the end that while the fines for on air indecency are pretty outrageous, the other fines were more outrageous for how low they were… Maybe it’s time to revisit some of those. Perhaps an on air “toxic wast malfunction?”
