I don’t know if any of you are looking or know people that are, but ESPN.com is looking for a number of open positions here on the technology side. Kareem has a really good rundown of the jobs on his site, or you can take a look at the ESPN jobs site. We’ve been interviewing but we still have a few more open positions.

Finally, after way too freaking long, Buraka Som Sistema has released their latest album, Black Diamond. The song above, Sound of Kuduro is by far the best on the album, but there are some other nice gems on here. MIA is featured on several tracks, and the rhythm is just addicting. I cannot sit still when this is on.
Click on the image to download the album (as DRM free MP3s) from Amazon.

I am one who is trying to get into ESPN. You say you are looking for good people but I can’t even get a rise out of the HR folks there. I e-mailed a resume, got an application back and haven’t heard a word since. I am qualifed in the technical/electronic maintenance area. Any suggestions? Thanks a bunch.

I don’t really have any good tips beyond keeping an eye on the ESPN HR web site. Keep in mind the number of people that apply to jobs here… it’s a lot. But, you increase your chances if you are responding to a posted job as opposed to just sending in a resume…

not much will happen to your resume here… this isn’t an ESPN site. I just happen to work there (and not in HR). If you’re interested in working at ESPN, submit your resume at http://www.joinourteam.espn.com/ .
I’m removing your posted resume because it contains personal information you probably don’t want on a public web site.
