Hey there, everybody! Just a few more thoughts here, from the random traveller. Today, our report comes from our remote office in our nations capital, the District of Columbia itself.

1.) College Football is no fun when you don’t care about the teams.
1a.) The exception is when its a good game. Plus, liquor makes even games you don’t care about fun.

2.) 60 degrees on January 1st isn’t the worst thing in the world. I could get used to it. Especially considering when I left Boston, it was 35.

3.) The Airline industry is in for a rude awakening. Especially when passengers only start flying things like Song, JetBlue, Southwest (more than they already do), AirTran, and other low cost airlines.
3a.) Is it wrong that I hope USAir goes out of business, if only because it will leave Harrisburg with no major airlines to speak of?

4.) Just because I’m at least 5, maybe 10 years behind music trends doesn’t make me old, right? Maybe its my clothes and attitudes that do, but not my music, right?

5.) Go Jets!

6.) It was reported this morning that the Yankees payroll might go over 200 million dollars this year. Is anyone surprised?

7.) Does anyone care?

8.) Speaking of caring, Todd Bertuzzi asked for a meeting with Gary Bettman about his situation. Is there anything less pressing right now than a story about hockey that doesn’t pertain to the lockout being lifted?
