I ended up doing a search for other athlete and pro sports related blogs and found this Slate article outlining the world of the pro athlete blogs. Some interesting tidbits in there (and what the hell, Kris Benson?)

Update: OK, they all suck. Hard. Cuban is the real deal, but I’ve yet to find an athlete’s blog that’s actually interesting.
