Daaammmmnnnn. On “The Eminem Show”, Mather’s burgeoning political consciousness emerged on “White America” and “Square Dance”, but only in part and only subtly. Well, he, like the rest of us, has joined the Coalition of the Shrill, and done it with one of the most powerful music videos in recent memory. Apparently MTV is a bit squeamish on the piece, a less than shocking admission of social cowardice from a network that trades on contentless shock value. Well fuck ‘em. This is why Al Gore invented the internet:
