Newsweek’s Daniel Gross explains the Consumer Price Index (here’s the official BLS site) in a very simple video. I could do without the goofy sound effects, but it’s a good, 2 minute explanation of how the government tracks inflation.
Per David Simon’s Berkeley talk, though, the video doesn’t go into why this matters. Perhaps they’ll cover that in the next installment of the Economics 101 series.

If this woman is single and anywhere in Josh’s age range… i think we have a front runner for Josh’s wife.
It is uncanny how she can tell a story EXACTLY the way he does… and believe after having to lend my car or pick josh up on numerous occasions with all his VW issues…. I heard the stories…
We should find this woman and let her, and josh start a comedy routine/parody about VW…. great find
