One of my other real concerns about this President and, more importantly, the modern Republican leadership is their complete apparent antagonism to anything that involves actually working with Democrats. In fact, it’s a pattern that repeats itself throughout our current government, from how the Bush administration deals with differing opinions inside their key agencies to public dissent and criticism. Congress never seems to debate anything as far as the public is concerned. Agencies now routinely campaign for the President instead of remaining non-partisan (or following laws restricting the use of agency funds for campaign messages).
Well, The Poor Man points out a lengthy series of articles on the disappearance of bipartisanship in Washington. I haven’t read them yet, but don’t want to lose the reference, so here it is. If you do get a chance to read the series, please leave a comment saying what you think.
