Newsweek’s Daniel Gross explains the Consumer Price Index (here’s the official BLS site) in a very simple video. I could do without the goofy sound effects, but it’s a good, 2 minute explanation of how the government tracks inflation.
Per David Simon’s Berkeley talk, though, the video doesn’t go into why this matters. Perhaps they’ll cover that in the next installment of the Economics 101 series.

Read the rest. It seems like Soros’s people may have bought the domain during the debate as they realized that it wasn’t owned by anyone.

cnn.com is reporting that the company which owns factcheck.com chose to forward traffic to Soros as a way “to relieve stress on the service and to express a political point of view” (according to their lawyer).
This is almost as good as the whitehouse.com snafu a few years ago!
