Here is this week’s edition.

  • Tough truths vs. patriotic pride - salon.com article that contains in part an interview with a Democratic Congresswoman who went to Iraq.
  • Independent Label - another article about Nellie McKay, this one pointing that she might be a bit of a pathological liar (akin to Natalie Portman’s character in Garden State). It’s funny, though. And I still like her music.
  • The Cowardly Broadcasting System - How the forged document scandal may have influenced CBS to pull a different story critical of the President.
  • Empty Pew - Why W. Doesn’t Go To Church (not really all that important, but interesting background)
  • Run Stopper - article in TNR (free reg required) that talks about how Byron Leftwich breaks the black quarterback stereotype by being a consummate game manager.
  • Grandma’s little helper - Economist article (from the print edition, so may require account — ask me and I’ll email it to you) that talks about the cost of the Bush prescription-drug benefit and why it’s not getting the votes the Bush camp thought it would.

That’s it… I had a busy week at work and thus really only read my standbys.
