This provides a good history of Jews in America. In addition to the events mentioned, there are entire organizations just dedicated to events and coordination of efforts between the major pilar organizations (United Jewish Communities, Federations, Movements, etc.). My company (screwed up though it is) is actually planning a number of events, inserts for our publications, special sections on our websites, etc. for the next year.

Here are a few links for some organizations that you can look at if you’re interested:

Celebrate 350

92nd Street Y (in NY obviously)

350th.org

The Bureau of Jewish Education of Greater NY

MyJewishLearning.com This is actually a great one to go to if you’re just curious about Jews, Jewish History, the religion, etc.
