I have to point out Bikes Against Bush as one novel protest idea. My sister mentioned this guy to me last night and then I read about him getting arrested today (and released) on Slashdot. Turns out that they’ve confiscated his equipment, so he won’t be riding around having his bike print messages that people send in via the Internet.

We watched some of the (uncensored) protest footage on CSPAN today and some of the protesters were really creative. Great signs, interesting costumes and items all around. I expect that they’ll be doing similar coverage through the week, so if you get a moment, check out CSPAN to see it happen. I wish I could take a day off and go down to NYC during the convention to join in, but I’m massively behind on some work and can’t really afford to miss any time.
