Well, guess what? The Pakistanis have just announced the capture of a high level Al Qaeda operative. On the same night, hell, within a few hours of when Kerry is about to hit the stage. Just like TNR reported weeks ago. I’m flipping through the cable news networks right now, and none of them are really doing anything on it right now. All their web sites are carrying it as the second story. We’ll see if it pushes the convention off the front page tomorrow.

It must have been Karl Rove, on his black spirit horse and his ring of power, with his VRWC posse, overseen by Cheney’s all seeing eye over the White House, who knows the location of all the wanted terrorists, and is just waiting to send in Rove to collect them at the most politically appropriate time.

honestly, I wouldn’t have thought twice about it except that TNR predicted it… it’s not like they’re claiming the coincidence after the fact… sources inside the gov’t spoke about this story 3 weeks ago.
So make fun of me all you want, but it’s just a weird coincidence that it’s exactly what they predicted would happen. And these are whack job moonlighting bloggers but pretty respected journalists for one of the major political news magazines. But, you’re right… they’re paranoid hobbits running away from the VRWC.
