One of those mocking, derisive but ultimately silly attacks made by both Giuliani and Palin yesterday had to do with mocking Obama’s time as a community organizers. I’ve read many different posts today defending the work community organizers do but Obama, as you might expect, puts the right perspective on the issue. Steve Benen has more background.
(he slightly misspeaks at the start — it was 20 years ago, not 3).

It hasn’t been long enough for me to “Love the 90’s.”

haven’t seen it but I’ll take your word for it… but you’d be hard pressed to match Chandler’s 4 out 5 dentists line and the shopping cart tackling Saturn commercial for wiping the eyes humor.

What are you talking about that jane’s liked 90210. Don’t EVER dis Jane’s that way! EVER!!!!!
I saw them in the early 90’s in Rochester NY with Rollins (not spoken word). As Shawna and I forced are way to the front of the audience, about 3 rows back from the stage as Rollins was talking btwn songs, we suddenly got a look around and noticed we were surrounded by these HUGE, buff men. We knew we were toast when the music started. Needless to say, I lost Shawna for awhile. Damn, that was a great show. I still love Jane’s Addiction. So josh, DON’T DIS THEM!

Sorry, but two guys from JAne’s Addiction said they LOVED — their exact word, loved — 90210. And they were singing the theme song too. And to add insult to injury, they knew EVERY CHARACTER including the kid who shot himself.

oh! Doug — that’s just LOW! although sadly, very sadly, i have been told I look a bit like screetch’s girlfriend. I have never seen what she looks like — but she must be a real cutie.
but Josh — You’ve got me right back in the 90’s. I’m packing and listening to Jane’s Addiction and I’m even wearing a skate rag on my head to keep my golden locks out of my face. Ooooh — I miss my skaterpunk days.

“Tiger Woods was in drag… under that Smile and buick shirt was panties….lots and lots of panties.”
The Sling Blade and Forest Gump skit….too funny!

BTW, I didn’t get to see much of the 90s show… so I hope they gave Hootie and the Blowfish credit for their album “Cracked Rear View” released in 1994.
Wow! 10 years old this year… and still such a great album!
