I’m highly skeptical of conspiracy theories of any kind, but I feel like the cover story in tomorrow’s TNR is worth passing on as a conspiracy theory with some confirmation. The article is sketchy at best on real details but claims to have multiple sources confirming instructions from the Bush Administration to Pakistani intelligence asking them to step up efforts to capture OBL and other high value targets in July. They are also supposedly asking that the Pakistani government delay any announcement of a July capture until the last week of July, coinciding with the Democratic National Convention. Amazing, if true. I’m still having trouble believing it.
