… do not go see Laws of Attraction. No, seriously, if you were heading out the door right now to go see it, turn around, sit on the couch, and turn the TV on to Family Feud on PAX. You’ll find it funnier.
We also saw Hellboy last week. Heidi insists that this was just as bad as Laws of Attraction. I think it’s at least better than Family Feud. Call me crazy. (I think she missed the cheesy comic book aspects of the film).
Buying a house sucks, btw… so freaking stressful.

Sujal wouldn’t know good if it bit him in the ass. “Laws” wasn’t great — entertaining generic romantic comedy — but certainly no worse than hell-boy.

I just saw the house buying line. Do tell. we certainly have had “fun” trying to get a mortgage.

mortgage isn’t the problem… we had a mini-soap opera with agents… plus I’m not a big fan of 1920’s houses needed paint and paper, as they say.

Sounds like it was lots of fun.
It is always funny when paint and paper turns into furnace and roof. On the other hand, someone those house will turn back a lot of equity from your sweat. Fortunately, you are getting into prime home buying time.

yeah, we’re not afraid of the work… the bigger issue is what work is necessary…
Also, it’s hard to be near town center and stay within our price range and get a house that’s been renovated at all…
so, it’s usually new furnaces and the like (important, of course), but little work done on fixtures, electrical (beyond circuit upgrades), cable (holes punched in walls, running cables outside), etc…. no big deal, but it adds up.
we found a couple of places we like, though, and are hoping to see more next weekend… we’re also now going back to auditioning agents, since this weekend had some (minor) silliness going on.

We/our? Uh oh. Heidi, you better watch out. I think a vegetarian might be trying to ensnare you. You’ll be eating tofurkey in no time!

either I’ll be eating tofurkey
or he’ll be eating beef jerky
Actually, it has been quite the experience looking for a house. It’s been fun but also stressful in that there’s so much to figure out, even putting repairs, etc aside. And I LOVE the 1920’s homes! they’re so cool. Anyway, somewhere out there is our “dream” home. We can’t afford that one, so we’ll have to settle for a pretty damn cool “real” home.
