Josh sent me an interesting article on comments about lack of women in IT. What is funny is looking about me now, there are 30 people in my software group (roughly). Out of that, there are 2 female programers. We have one female QA woman, and 1 woman who is a PM, but only 2 women who actually code. Makes me miss RazorFish/I-cube since I think the ratio of female coder’s was quite high, and I took it for granted. So this leads me to my new bright idea for a TV show. It will be called “the consultants,” and be sort of humorous, like Ally McBeal was or Scrubs is. It would be all about working in a consulting / software company, therefore glamorizing the life of a developer/consultant and make more girls want to join in real life… what do you guys think???
