Now, obviously this holds a certain level of personal interest, but it just makes you wonder, will Mel rethink his statement about this movie NOT stirring up anti-semetic feelings?

nice timing.
I’d be interested in how this film does in eastern Europe. While I was in poland, I was stunned at how insidious the anti-semitism is. The people I talked to would be amazed to be labelled such, but the feeling has seeped into everything, from the common idiom to strange prejudices. Totally sickening. And very saddening.

I agree, and what makes it worse is the blind eye that the so-called civilized nations where these attitudes run rampant turn towards it. They sweep it under the carpet and call it something else, but that’s what it is.
The real sad part is how well — and I expect it will do VERY well — it will do in parts of this country.
