well, it was about time again, the latest strongbad cartoon is absolutely the best. If you have ever played any video games back in the old days, you must watch this… Gives me some good ideas for my own game, if I ever get around to coding it 
PS. if you ever were as addicted to Zork as I was, you must play Thy Dungeonman at the end…

How far did you get in Dungeonman? I “won”, but I couldn’t figure out what to do with the rope or the flask.

not sure what to do with the flask, however you can hang yourself with the rope “take rope” I think was the command I used… Too funny. Kicking Dennis did not work either

you can TALK to dennis, GIVE TRINKET to dennis, and that’s about it. I worked for almost an hour running basic text-based RPG commands, and barely any worked. You can look at stuff (LOOK at FLASK) but the reaction is always the same.
I even tried ‘RUN STRONG_BAD_EMAIL.EXE’ and stuff like that. No good.

Try grabbing the flask a couple more times…after a couple of tries you can finally grab it and something happens.

Or you can just say “get flask”, and it gets it.
My list of commands:
“Direction” — Goes a direction, such as north, south, dennis, or not dennis. Must type the name of the direction in place of direction.
“Get ___” — Used to get an item.
“Take ____” — Used to take an item. See “Get ___”
“Dance” — This one’s great. Makes you dance.
“Talk ____” — Talks to someone/thing. If you choose someone who’s not a registered person to talk to, it brings up a funny message. (”Talk someone from work”)
“Look ___” — Looks at something. If it doesn’t have a pre-set message, it brings up a default.
“Go ____” — Same as direction. If it’s not a pre-set direction, you get a default message.
That’s all I can recall. There’s probably more I know, but they’re not springing to mind.

A friend of mine claims he got a score of 5, but he didnt tell me how. So we know its possible. He said it was something to do with wording the “give” command differently, but that was all he told me

okay, nubs! heres how you get five points w/o dying.
1. read scroll
2. TRY to take the flask (dont do it twice or you die)
3. Go south
4. Take Trinket
5. Go North
6. Go to Dennis
7. Dance (type in “dance”)
8. Give the trinket to dennis and you will escape w/ 5 points

Here’s the quick way to 5 points:
1.take flask (you won’t get it, but still scores you 1 point).
2.take scroll (2 points)
3.south (leads to room with trinket)
4.take trinket (1 point)
5.north (back to main room)
6.dennis (leads to dennis)
7.give trinket (1 point)
Dancing is unnecessary…

I scored 6…try “geteth” or “taketh” instead of “get” whenever you get anything…including the scroll and trinket…try takething the flask more than once, but NOT 2 times in a row or you will die…the ultimate limit is 2 times anyway, cause on the third non-consecutive try you die…

yup, i got a score of 6. without any help. what you have to do is take the flask twice, it gives you a point for each time you take it. to avoid dying, simply say it differently. e.g., “get ye flask” and then “take flask.” like that.

turtle, do you mean the Mogrel in the maze? use the map from the drawer with the key in the chamber pot to get out quicker. I just wrote down which direction to hit with mop the first time i went through the maze and died

Ok, guys. For thy dungeonman 1: get scroll (2pts), try to get flask TWICE (2pts)(you will die after THREE times), go south, get trinket (2pts), go north, go dennis, give trinket to dennis, you win with 6 points. If you say Get Dagger you get 25 points free. This is usable as many times as you like. So basically the highest score is unlimited. If you try to get the scroll or trinket once you have gotten it (or it has disappeared) you will lose 1 point. This is also usable as many times as you like. So the lowest score is ALSO unlimited. As for TD 2…
Use Sucker kills the Dongrel
Take Off Cloth kills percy
my highest score was 93, you gotta get the map in the magistrate’s room, and kill all the monsters in the dungeon, and get the bread and key in the beginning and get the picture off the thing on the wall at the end. How do you get higher than 93???

To get past Dongrel/sous chef type “give sucker”. trust me, it will work. hilarity ensues. I dont know how to get past percy the second time though.

I think the map has a problem. There is a third north in the two norths in a row maybe? I can’t remember.

You can get one extra point by typing in “ask doctor about craftsman tools” in the infirmary, yielding a total of 94 points.
For the remaining six points, I’m thinking maybe there’s a sequence of answers you can give to the healer that won’t get you killed.

Oh, and incidentally, if you “use picture” on the Dongle, he drops your mop and staggers around for a bit. This doesn’t seem to yield any extra points, though, and the mop can’t be used against Percy, so I’m not sure how it’s supposed to help.

ok, I killed the Dongrel 2 diffrerent ways. First I simply used the sucker. I tried again using the placard of Percy. When you do this the Dongrel drops the mop and you can take it and use it. This leaves you with a left over sucker. Not sure which way is better.

I finished the game with 96 points, but can’t find the other 4. Cleaning the walls doesn’t do anything and closing the drawer doesn’t do anything either. It doesn’t matter how you kill dongrel. In fact, you just say ‘kill dongrel’ when you enter the room and not have to mess with picking up your broom or using the sucker.
I didn’t find the typing in ‘ye flask’ does anything, although if you type ‘take flask’ the game says, “Ye wish. If there was a flask in this game, we wouldst know about it.”
I tried going throught healer’s questions, but die from plague.
I killed all the mosters in the maze, cleaned all the walls, even looked at bowie, only to finish with a 96.
WHERE ARE THE EXTRA 4 POINTS? HAS ANYONE GOTTEN A FULL 100?

Haha, nevermind. My new score is 200 points. Good game, but really lame that there aren’t 100 TRUE points, really only 96.
