The contract that Schilling put together contains a number of creative clauses that show the kind of guy that Curt Schilling is. He’s donating his bonus money to charity, for one thing. He’s got options that only trigger when the Sox win the World Series. You have to love a guy who ties his compensation to his performance like that. Curt also has talked to fans directly via several web sites, something that I think is just cool and relatively unique out there.
Gotta love a guy who plays for love of the game (and a boatload of money, but at least his heart is in the right place).

Speaking of Boston, and Baseball, just read a great blurb about san fran’s new pacBell park (see previous entry by sujal, complete with nacho pictures..) It talks of great ideas for boston when 93 goes down, and one of the quotes is:
