Anyone who knows me well, knows that I am a cheerleader for Arundhati Roy. She’s a writer — fiction, film, activism. I think she speaks from the heart, intelligently, and articulately. She gave a speech in NYC in May to a VERY sold-out session, but I found the transcript , as well as a page listing her writings — all seeming to have the full texts. hey, heidi…do those websites list where she might be speaking and all? I’m hoping to see a little of what she’s doing when i’m in India….

Hey — oh — I’d be soooo jealous — though i have heard her speak at Hampshire College. I don’t think the india outlook (??) site has her upcoming speaking engagements. I tried to do a quick google search and I didn’t quickly find someting — but I’m late for meeting your brother, so I can’t search now. If you find something — let me know. I’ll come out to India to go with you!!!! I’m pretty sure she lives in New Delhi… You could just wander around until you bump into her.
