Some of you know that I’m a pretty avid player of WarCraft III. Avid doesn’t mean good, mind you… just that I like to play it a lot. In fact, I’m pretty terrible, I’ve found out (no fewer than 3 different people said so much to me last night when I was playing… it’s a rough, adolescent crowd). An aside, I’ve actually figured out two things… one, I am really not that good. Two, my computer is holding me back… I’ve heard not so good things about the performance of Warcraft III on Mac OS X and on PowerBooks in general. Search google for “warcraft III performance OS X” or something like that and you’ll find a number of forum posts. One of the games where I got yelled at by my teammates, my computer was definitely the issue as I couldn’t select my units to move them away from a blizzard spell. I’m hoping the bus and faster processors on the G5 make a difference in gameplay and that Blizzard soon gets better with their OS X programming skills.

Anyway, I wanted to post up a replay from the game called Locust Swarm !!!!. It’s a 3 on 3 game that I ultimately ended up losing. Watching the replay, however, leads me to believe that I made a bunch of mistakes right at the end that could’ve let us win. I didn’t realize how poorly yellow was doing at the end. That, and I didn’t realize that Locust Swarm doesnt’ hurt buildings… so I ended up wasting it once or twice. Anyway, watch the game if you have Warcraft III. It was made with the 1.12 version of WCIII FT.
