So, I’ve been having these intermittent graphic glitches when using my PowerBook with Warcraft III (and also occaisionally Alchemy, oddly enough). I found a discussion on Apple’s support site (look under PowerBook>15″> Usage forum) about glitches in 3D games. Well, someone posted a screenshot that looks eerily like my problems. Sometimes, when I’m playing WarCraft, my screen does this:

Sometimes, it doesn’t even fix itself if I exit the game:

This sucks. The only thing I’ve found that helps is to aim a fan (like my room fan) at my PowerBook while it’s on its CoolPad. As long as that is set up, I can play fine. This makes me want to believe it’s heat related. Maybe the GPU is getting too hot. I’m partially relieved that others are having the same problems, but it sucks that replacing the parts isn’t helping (according to some in the discussion).
