It looks like the fad is “sorta” dying down. This morning, sara and I went over to the new Krispy Kreme in Medford (pronounced Meh-fuh, if you’re a “townie”). Whereas the line had been a completely unreasonable 1 hour and 40 minutes during its first weekend at about this time, today it was a completely manageable 30 minutes to get our dozen doughnuts.
Oh yeah, and for those who question it, it was worth it if you don’t like Dunkin Donuts’ food options (ie doughnuts).
Just another thought…

No they didn’t. I’m a HUGE fan of the Raspberry filled donuts. They might be the best of any donut out there. And I don’t say that lightly…

What’s amazing to me is that so many people know and want Krispy Kreme. They had them for breakfast and snack breaks at WWDC. All the attendees would just descend on the table that had them. Even my boss mentioned that he was happy they had them because he only gets them when he’s on vacation in South Carolina (he has a place down there he usually goes to in the summer… in fact, he’s there now).

Personally, I don’t see how you Yankees can live without Krispy Kreme. You’re clearly deprived. (c:

Yeah, donuts are more guilty than pleasure at times, but Krispy Kreme are far better than any of the others.

I think I need to try one, all I have ever had are the ones that people bring home from business trips (and everyone seems to only get the glazed kind… no strawberry cream cheese for me!!!)

You gotta try them when they’re hot, and still soft… *Then* you’ll see what all of the fuss is about. Personally, I always found Dunkin Doughnuts to be too dry.
