And, just to be clear, like the American soldiers killed and captured, these people had families, parents, siblings, and loved ones that are going to be hurt, angry, and in pain over their deaths. War is ugly, even when “it could’ve been worse.” Some people in this country realize this, which is why we’ve all been protesting and writing and talking and questioning the necessity of war right now.
