Found this on superhyperdemonchild.com (a brilliant blog and site if you ask me). Apparently, someone has suggested that CNN doctored the audio track when it rebroadcast Michael Moore’s Oscar speech by increasing the volume of “boo’s” during the speech. There is even a web site with audio and video clips of the different rebroadcasts. I haven’t really compared them yet (will when I get home). Whether it’s true or not, there are interesting questions here about how to subtly affect perception.
