There’s a great article about Lackawanna and the Lackawanna 6 in this month’s Mother Jones. Goes through the people surrounding the case of the alleged sleeper cell and offers another explanation of their story.
What’s a little disturbing is the portrayal of the government’s case against these men. If the article is accurate, the prosecution simply used the judge’s fear to hold these men, then leveraged the suspects fear of indefinite imprisonment to get plea bargains.
